I am a Checotah High School graduate and proud Wildcat.
I attended Connors State College (Warner, OK) and received my Associate’s Degree. Then I transferred to Oklahoma Baptist University (Shawnee, OK) to finish my Bachelor’s Degree. I decided a few years after that to go back to school and earned a Master’s Degree from East Central University (Ada, OK).
I have been a classroom teacher since 2004, and I have been at WHS since August of 2017. I spend my days with English I students and one section of English II.
I began my career teaching 8th grade English Language Arts in Shawnee, OK. I spent six awesome years at Shawnee Middle School and couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my career. In 2010, I joined the staff of Arapaho-Butler Public Schools. There I taught 7th grade English, 8th grade English, English I, English III, Speech, and Humanities. I have been in a large school setting and small school setting...and I love it all!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Brandon, since 2010. Brandon is the owner of and graphic designer for 66 Ink, a local screenprinting company. We have two wild and crazy kids: Will and Libby. The kids keep us on our toes and we wouldn’t have it any other way. :)
I love to spend time with my family. I am also a big Star Wars nerd and haven’t missed a premiere in my lifetime. My husband and I have been known to attend Comic Con and love to admire the artists various work (we even have some amazing pieces signed by the artist).
