Week #1:  April 6th-April 10th Algebra 2 Lesson Plans

 

 

  1.  1st Assignment:  Initial Knowledge Check​​
  • Once you login to Aleks, you will have to go through pop-up instructions and a tool tutorial.

  • When done with the tutorial, it will ask you to start an initial knowledge check before you can access other assignments.

  • When finished with this, it will take you to a home page (has a pie chart on it) and you must click through more pop-up instructions.

  • We will not be working through the Pie Chart as a class.  If you choose to do extra and work through your pie chart, I will consider this for extra credit.

  • There will be a calendar button at the bottom of the page, which will have links to the weekly assignments. Hover over the links to see the titles for each assignment.

  1.  2nd Assignment:  Rules of Exponents  5.1 Part 1

  • Watch the lesson video https://youtu.be/2KjlwiFqeyQ (I realize now that there some issues with the video - I need to scoot my paper down - I will do that for the videos next week, Sorry)

  • Make sure you take notes as you watch the video.

  • Go to https://www.aleks.com/ and complete this assignment. 

  1.  3rd Assignment:  Rules of Exponents  5.1 Part 2

 

 

Week #2:  April13th-April 17th Algebra 2 Lesson Plans

 

 

  1.  1st Assignment:  Operations on Polynomials 5.1 Part 3

  2.  2nd Assignment:  Dividing Polynomials 5.2

  3.  3rd Assignment:  Polynomial Functions 5.3

 

 

Week #3:  April 20th-April 24th Algebra 2 Lesson Plans

 

 

  1.  1st Assignment:  Operations on Functions

  2.  2nd Assignment:  Composition of Functions

  3.  3rd Assignment:  Graphing Exponential Functions

 

 

Week #4:  April 27th-May 1st Algebra 2 Lesson Plans

 

 

  1.  1st Assignment:  Solving Exponential Equations (Lesson 7.2)

  2.  2nd Assignment:  Logarithms and Logarithmic Functions (Lesson 7.3)

    • Make sure you take notes as you watch the video.

    • You only need to watch the first part of the video (to about the 10:30 mark in the video).  The first 3 Examples.

    • Go to https://www.aleks.com/ and complete your 2nd assignment for this week.. 

  3.  3rd Assignment:  Solving Logarithmic Equations (Lesson 7.4)

 

Week #5:  May 4th-May 8th Algebra 2 Lesson Plans

 

 

  1.  1st Assignment: Properties of Logarithms

  2.  2nd Assignment:  Properties of Logarithms - Expanding and Condensing Expressions

  3.  3rd Assignment:  Final Knowledge Check

  • Go to https://www.aleks.com/ and complete your 3rd assignment for this week. 

  • This will be available to you beginning on May 4th.  

  • Once this is done, you are done with Algebra 2 this year!
