Thank you for taking the time to read these directions. Line up starts at 7pm with promenade starting at 7:45. We are hopeful we can make the entrance to prom as efficiently as possible.
If you have a carriage, special vehicle, or one that may overheat if idling too long, please contact Mr. Gunselman doug@wpsok.org or 580-816-0374 to arrange for a spot towards the front of the promenade line or a plan to allow for your car/truck to not overheat.
When entering the alley behind WECC, please drive as far forward as you can. We will make two lanes from the front of Stafford Elementary all the way to the entrance to the alley east of WECC. You will be side by side with other vehicles until the drop off point.
There will be the temptation to go to one line. Don’t do it! If you have a big vehicle that needs to make wide turns, work with other vehicles to make that turn, but then get back to your respective lane.
A parent will come by and put a tag on your keys. Please be sure you leave your keys in your car when you get out for prom (don’t take key fobs with you). You will get a matching key tag to keep until prom is finished. Please be sure you keep track of this key tag so you can get your keys when prom concludes. If you have a car that will not be valet parked but a person picking it up from the drop off spot, you will not need a key tag. If someone is dropping off a vehicle for you, they need to get a key clipped and a key tag to you (or hide the key around your car and save yourself some trouble).
When pulling up to the drop off point for prom (in front of Stafford Elementary), we will pull up two cars at a time with parking staggered (the east lane will pull forward more than the west lane). We will have someone directing you where to stop, but keep in mind your parking will be staggered (close to the prom entrance by design) so family and friends can see you better. Have personal items you are taking into prom gathered!
When you get to the drop off point don’t forget to put your car in park! Please get out quickly (treat it like an airport drop off lane) with your date and find the line up spot. DO NOT STAND/BLOCK THE DRIVING LANE. You will wait in line until your name is called and then walk down the “red carpet.”

All Juniors will be taking the CCRA Science and History test the following week on April 7th and 8th. They will need to report to the PAC at 7:50 AM on their scheduled test day. These tests are a graduation requirement. It is important that your student is at school on these testing dates.
Thank you for all of your help. -WHS Counselors
